In 2024, Big River Steel’s mini mill, BRS2, will be completed in Osceola, AR. It is expected to make a significant impact on the local economy by creating new jobs. The facility is equipped with two Electric Arc Furnaces and boasts and impressive production capacity of 3 million tons of advanced steel per year. With this mini mill, they are committed to operating with 70-80% fewer greenhouse gas emissions.
